Mark Pisoni introduced me to Kirk Williams in 2011 - I'm very fortunate and thankful. KW Vineyard is surrounded by well known estates (Gary's, Rosellas) and produces maybe the most flavorful and intense fruit of any sight we work with. Always the first winemaker to harvest - our wine expresses the unique aspects of this site while not masking minerality or acidity.  Sitting just north of the old salinas river the rocky soils consist of decomposed granite and quartz. The weather is almost perfect for producing premium Pinot Noir - Rarely hot, always windy and smothered in fog.
